"My father and I have a long history of partnering for the Gospel with Steven Curtis Chapman. I'm grateful to God for his desire to help victims of Harvey and Irma through Samaritan's Purse. His song encourages all of us to place our faith and hope in God as we weather the storms of life."—Franklin Graham

Hi Everybody,

It is a privilege to partner with my friends at Samaritan’s Purse as we love on and encourage those affected by Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma.

After seeing the devastation that hit Houston and the surrounding areas, I sat down with my friends Lori McKenna and Barry Dean to write what was on my heart, and to respond the best way I know how: with a song. As my family and I have experienced in our own seasons of devastation and loss, sometimes what we need most is someone to just "be with us" in the darkness, and remind us, maybe even sing to us, that the sun will shine again and the blue will return to our sky…that’s what we hoped to capture with this song.

I reached out to one of my favorite singers on the planet, my friend Gary LeVox from Rascal Flatts, and asked him if he might join me on this recording of 'Til The Blue…and he said "yes"! We hope this song will encourage those in Texas and Florida, as well as the many that have given, volunteered, and prayed for those affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

I’ve always appreciated and trusted the great work that Samaritan’s Purse does and am grateful that this song could be used to direct people to an organization that is once again doing the important and vital work of offering hope and help to those who have suffered great loss.

So with this hope I offer this song to encourage many who might need to be reminded that they are being thought of, prayed for, and reached out to, "until the blue returns to their sky."

Blessings,

Samaritan's Purse has teams on the ground helping people in Jesus' Name in Texas, Florida, and the Caribbean. Hurricanes Harvey and Irma did incredible damage, but our staff and volunteers are bringing hope to the hurting—whether by mudding out flooded homes, tarping a roof, or delivering food to the hungry. The quality of our work is our platform, and the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ is our message.
